About Virtual Academy

 

The Interboro Virtual Academy Experience is a joint collaboration between educators, students, and their learning coaches (parents/guardians).

 

In the Interboro Virtual Learning Academy, parents and guardians actively support their students as Learning Coaches. Parents/ guardians agree to take an active role in their child’s learning experiences:

 

• I will ensure that my child has access to all the necessary equipment for virtual learning.
• I will devote time each day to ensure my child is adhering to the school activities.
• I will check my child's attendance and grades on a weekly basis.
• I will respond in a timely manner to all communications from the school/ district and will immediately communicate any concerns.
• I understand my child is responsible for following all district policies and procedures as outlined in the ISD school board policies.
• If my child is struggling with academic or attendance requirements, I understand that my child may be required to attend more frequently scheduled meetings with his/her teacher, counselor or administration . 
• If, after interventions are provided, my child is still unable to meet the academic or attendance requirements, I understand that my child may be required to return to in-person learning.
